A new initiative from the ADA Social Impact Lab

Working in social impact is rewarding, complex, and sometimes exhausting. Between managing people, funding cycles, navigating messy systems and trying to deliver real outcomes, it’s easy to feel stuck, stressed, or isolated. To support you moving forward, you can choose between joining a Leadership Circle with peers at a similar stage or working 1-1 with Andrea for tailored support.

Why join?

Think of Leadership Circles as executive coaching, but done differently. You still get the 1-1 goodness directly from Andrea, but in a group setting that’s practical, human, trauma-informed, and free from cookie-cutter frameworks.

Why? Because we can’t do this work alone. Impact work is heavy and complex so having a circle of trusted peers is the antidote. You get community as well as coaching: tools, peer support, and practical advice drawn from Andrea’s 20+ years across nonprofits, government, consulting, and boardrooms - plus her grounding in yoga teacher training, Eastern traditions, and wellbeing practices.

While executive coaching often starts at $400 an hour, we’ve designed Leadership Circles to be more accessible and affordable - without compromising depth or impact. And unlike traditional coaching, Circles are built for sustainability: once you complete the 6-week program, you’ll have options to stay connected with your group so the support, learning, and accountability continue long after the sessions end.

What makes them different

👥 Peer-based – small, safe circles of 8–10 people at a similar career stage.

🌿 Grounded & human – trauma-informed, inclusive, and approachable.

💻 Convenient – online, 60 minutes a week for 6 weeks.

⏰ Dynamic format – alternating deep-dives and flexible Q&A so you gain both structure and space.

Need some 1-1 support?

Alongside Leadership Circles, Andrea also works with a small number of social impact clients individually.

Her “Not Quite Coaching” approach in a 1-1 online format gives you space to unpack challenges, build confidence, and develop strategies that work for you - whether you’re just starting out, stepping into leadership, or already at senior levels.

Andrea the ‘not quite coach’

Gen Z might tease Gen X for over-using “…” ( eg title of this initiative) but with 20+ years of experience across government, consulting, and nonprofits, Andrea has seen it all. From grad to nonprofit CEO, Board Director, and founder of her own social impact practice, she’s managed organisations, staff, boards, funders, clients, complex partnerships and more.

Her family’s migration story - fleeing Idi Amin’s Uganda, living in 1970s Britain, and starting again in Australia - shapes her understanding of resilience, identity, and difference.

Like many, she did all the training: Myers Briggs, Enneagram, yoga teacher training and listened to Brene Brown, Simon Sinek, Adam Grant, many Gurus and even more coaches. But she discovered the real work of impact leadership is about:

  • understanding the stories and mindsets we carry about work,

  • shifting them with awareness,

  • and finding new ways to navigate the wild ride of social change.

Her mission is simple: help impact professionals find confidence, calm, and contentment so they can be even more effective in creating positive change for people and the planet.
